Sometimes those “happily ever after” endings you read in the fairy tales aren’t really the end.

They’re only the end of that story, but what happens to the characters after it’s all said and done? After those princesses go off and marry their prince charmings, is that really the end? Nothing of importance ever happens again?

Well, after Cinderella and Prince Charming raised a little girl, the days of happily ever after were coming to a close. The defeated villains and evil-doers who had been banished and exiled were now returning and working together to gain back their power. Cinderella's daughter married Maleficent's son, not her parents' first choice. But they were happy, and when she became pregnant, they worried about the safety of their growing family. Desperate to protect them, Maleficent's son turned to the Evil Queen for help.

A family of powerful witches in our world, thinking they were the only magical beings in Laurent, Louisiana, found a magic mirror. The Evil Queen was on the other side of that mirror, and convinced them to use their magic to open a portal between her world and ours. They were successful. The little backwoods town of Laurent isn’t exactly a place you would expect anything interesting to happen. Ever. It’s located in a very remote place, made rather difficult to reach by the surrounding swamplands. It has a small population of families who have lived in the area for generations. Outsiders occasionally come and go. Other than that, few things ever change in Laurent.

The Evil Queen told Maleficent's son that if he took his family through the portal and swore to remain loyal to her, reporting back to her has his family became more established in the town, his family would be safe, and other fairy tale beings would then be able to come through for safety as well. He took her word and gave his, and his family has now lived in our world for twenty years. He has reported back to the Evil Queen that others should begin to come through, and she is sending through a few more of her own spies as well as she creates her plan to dominate this strange new land. Which side will you choose? Good or Evil?
